I’m so very lucky to have my perfect job as a wedding hair stylist where my creativity helps to make your vision a reality. I aim for the highest standards at at all times, I’m definitely a perfectionist.
BRIDAL HAIR EXPERIENCE
It all started with a three year hairdressing apprenticeship in a lovely salon in South Nottinghamshire. This led to training with Toni and Guy in London then a further ten years experience in their Nottingham salon. Whilst at Toni and Guy Nottingham, I was Assistant Manager and Head of Training and Education delivering, NVQ Level 2 and 3 Teaching, Training and Assessing for our Students. I also became a Trainer and Assessor at The Toni and Guy Academy in Manchester. I learnt so much during my ten years with Toni and Guy. It was an incredible time and one I treasure to this day. I’m so lucky to have worked with so many incredibly talented people as well as being involved in some amazing shows and events.
I have also had the pleasure of working in theatre on a pre West End show .This was an amazing experience where I was the resident hair stylist for the show during its run in Nottingham.
MY BRIDAL HAIR STUDIO
In 2010 I set up my own hairdressing and wedding hair styling business. I have a wonderful and very loyal clientele who followed me from Toni and Guy, many of whom have become close friends. My home studio is where it all happens. It’s a lovely space for you and your ”I do” crew to have your hair trial.
Wedding hair has always been a big part of my job and an area I love.
BRIDAL HAIR AWARDS
In 2018 and 2019, I entered the wedding industry awards. On both occasions I reached the regional finals for Wedding Hair Stylist of the Year. I won a Gold Certificate of Excellence from the UK’s number one wedding app Bridebook. Both of these are a huge achievement as they are based on reviews from my brides.
My work has been featured in several blogs and magazines including, to name but a few, Rock n Roll Bride, Rock my wedding , Save the Date magazine and Love my dress .
KEEPING UP TO DATE
As a wedding and bridal hair stylist, it is important to keep up to date with all the latest trends, not just in hairdressing but bridal hair too. For this reason I regularly attend bridal hair workshops and courses with the best in the industry, including, Kasia Fortuna, Ulyana Aster and Hannah Taylor. Additionally i am also a Loreal professional partner where training is ongoing. Basically, I never stop learning. Moreover this keeps me up to date with all the latest trends, techniques and products.
Whenever I have time, I love to be with family and friends, in particular, my two boys who have now flown the nest. I live with my wonderful partner and two cats. I enjoy reading and music, and the occasional holiday in the sunshine. Equally i’m also a massive animal lover.
