Little bow chic
Inspired by my own wedding back in 1989, bows on wedding dresses were the height of fashion. With bows now featuring heavily on the catwalk and Carla’s brides having the perfect dress, Little bow chic became more than just a vision.
Location
My good friend Alan had the Privilege of meeting the Dali Lama. This inspired Alan to create Cascades, a garden retreat full of love, relaxation and tranquillity. As a lover of nature and the outdoors, I knew I had found my perfect backdrop. Cascades is set in over four acres in The Derbyshire Peak district. The Garden suite with its double bedroom, en suite bathroom with spa bath and views over one of Cascades many waterfalls, is the perfect hideaway for newly weds seeking peace and quiet.
The Hair
As a bridal Hairstylist I wanted to create a look that was simple and bang on trend. I love minimal, timeless and contemporary wedding hair and I wanted a look that would not overshadow the dress. Hannah has beautiful natural long hair which lent itself to a low side ponytail but with a little twist. Carol, who loves to sparkle created a bespoke beaded hair bow to compliment the style. A low ponytail which will always be chic. Whats not to love!
Dream team
Choosing my dream team was easy, knowing some amazing suppliers I knew exactly who to ask to bring their own uniqueness to the shoot whilst maintaining my vision.
Hannah and Sam, our models are naturally gorgeous so Emma opted for a natural minimal look for makeup. Sally’s trailing bouquet featured a mix of foliage, white dahlia’s and gerbera’s with that little pop of black. Simply beautiful!
The scene is looking stunning with cliffs adorned with 5ft gold light up letters, Lisa’s beautiful cake and a table set for an intimate wedding all styled perfectly by Charlotte, it’ really is looking fine and dandy.
I’m a huge lover of dogs so it was a no brainer to ask Michelle from Hurley’s. Matilda and Ruby couldn’t wait to dress up. They definitely stole the show.
To say I had my perfect shoot is an understatement. It was all captured beautifully by the ever so talented Dan Lambourne.
