In May I had the pleasure of styling the wedding hair for this fabulous Spring wedding.
Casey and Adam married at Ye Olde Bell in Retford on what was almost the perfect day for a Spring wedding. They were not going to let a few minutes of rain spoil their day.
Casey made contact with me some time ago to book me for her wedding day. We met for a coffee and an informal chat and I got to meet Savannah, Casey and Adam’s beautiful daughter. By the end of our chat I was not only booked to be the wedding hairdresser but also to be Casey’s hairdresser to look after the cut and colour of her hair.
Over the months leading up to the wedding I got to know Casey, Adam and Savannah quite well. I also had the privilege of cutting Adam’s hair and giving Savannah her first ever haircut. What a little sweetie she was. Although she did have Adam pulling faces at her as he used my tinting brushes as pretend ears to keep her distracted. Casey and Adam were very happy to say goodbye to the mullet and hello to a cute little bob. Savannah was also very happy with her new look.
A Spring theme
The theme for this wedding was green and yellow, perfect for a spring wedding.
Green and yellow are my two favourite colours so I was looking very forward to seeing it all come together. I also knew Casey was going to make a beautiful bride and Savannah a beautiful flower girl. I wasn’t wrong!
It’s the day of the wedding, 6.30 in the morning and the sun is shining. Casey and her lovely bridesmaids, Jenny, Caroline, Emma and flower girl Savannah are raring to go. They are all wearing their matching robes, Savannah was in her element in hers. She looked adorable.
Spring is in the hair
Casey wanted a loose up do with a plait to compliment her cathedral veil and headpiece. The headpiece was handmade by one of her friends. I used a combination of twisting and braiding to achieve Casey’s vision.
Jenny’s, Caroline’s and Emma’s hair was styled in to a high loose and undone bun with a small braid around the base of the bun. Savannah’s hair was left natural.
The Finished look
Wow, what a gorgeous bunch they all make. Casey looks stunning in her Eddy K dress and Savannah just looks beautiful. Jenny did everyone’s make up including her own and the gorgeous flowers are from Fluertations.
Red carpet ready Casey heads off with her bridal party to marry Adam who I have caught a sneaky peak of. He is looking fabulous in a tweed waistcoat.
Casey and Adam had a wonderful day. Congratulations to you both. A beautiful couple, a beautiful family.
